We are seeking an experienced Copier Tech for a direct-hire field service opportunity in Saint Louis, MO. The Copier Tech will travel to customer locations throughout the assigned territory to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize office technology equipment. Success in this role requires strong diagnostic skills, clear communication, attention to detail, and the ability to represent the service team professionally in the field.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform service calls, equipment installations, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, adjustments, calibrations, and modifications on copiers, printers, multifunction devices, and production print equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, software, and network-related equipment issues and implement effective solutions to reduce customer downtime.
- Communicate with customers, dispatchers, and service management regarding arrival times, service status, delays, equipment issues, and customer concerns.
- Test equipment after installation or repair, verify proper performance, and demonstrate equipment operation and best practices to customers.
- Complete accurate service documentation, charge tickets, expense reports, parts orders, inventory updates, and call activity using company software systems.
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, parts inventory, uniform, and work area in a clean, safe, organized, and professional manner.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $22 to $24 per hour, depending on experience.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Service, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and maintain copier, printer, multifunction, and production print equipment in the field.
- Perform equipment installations and verify proper system performance after setup, maintenance, or repair.
- Manage assigned service calls, customer communication, documentation, parts activity, and administrative follow-up.
- Support customer satisfaction by resolving technical issues professionally and communicating concerns to management.

- 3 to 5 years of relevant copier, printer, production print, multifunction device, or office equipment service experience required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, software, and basic network connectivity issues.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, operating instructions, maintenance procedures, installation guides, and service documentation.
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, maintain schedules, and communicate service delays appropriately.
- Highly organized, punctual, detail-oriented, ethical, and able to manage multiple priorities in a field service environment.
- Comfortable using internal software systems, service management tools, and mobile applications to manage calls, parts orders, reporting, and workflow.
- Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude required.
- May be required to take and pass a Core Basic Copier Technology Exam.

Preferred Qualifications

- Associate degree or equivalent education from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
- Prior field service technician experience in a customer-facing environment preferred.
- Experience supporting production print systems, digital imaging equipment, copiers, printers, or related office technology preferred.
- Network troubleshooting experience preferred.
- Experience using service management software and mobile service applications preferred.
- Industry certifications related to copier repair, printer service, networking, or technical support preferred.
- Experience maintaining service performance metrics such as response time, machine reliability, recall rate, and incomplete rate preferred.
