Job Summary
A legal services team in the Rancho Cordova/Sacramento area is seeking a Workers Compensation Legal Admin for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This full-time role is ideal for a detail-oriented legal assistant with workers' compensation experience who enjoys supporting attorneys, managing deadlines, and keeping litigation matters organized and moving forward.
The Workers Compensation Legal Admin will provide direct support to multiple attorneys in a team-focused legal environment. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the in-house litigation calendar and ensure all deadlines, hearings, appointments, and case events are accurately tracked.
- Provide direct administrative and legal support to multiple attorneys handling workers' compensation matters.
- Prepare, file, serve, and organize legal documents, correspondence, and case-related materials.
- Answer telephones, communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, opposing counsel, and other parties.
- Schedule medical examinations, depositions, and related litigation appointments.
- Maintain accurate case files and support the team in meeting established legal and procedural deadlines.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $50,000 to $72,000 per year, based on background and qualifications.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
- Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work arrangement: Onsite.
- Location: Prospect Drive, Sacramento, CA.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Manage workers' compensation litigation calendars, deadlines, and attorney schedules.
- Support multiple attorneys with legal administration, filing, service, correspondence, and case coordination.
- Schedule medical examinations, depositions, and other case-related appointments.
- Maintain accurate documentation and support timely case progression.
- Minimum of 2 year of workers' compensation experience is required.
- Knowledge of Workers' Compensation Rules and related legal procedures.
- Experience filing and serving legal documents and correspondence.
- Strong accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet established deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment.
- Professional communication skills for phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Ability to work effectively as a team player while managing individual responsibilities.
- 3 to 5 years of legal administrative experience is preferred based on the experience level for this role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting multiple attorneys in a workers' compensation or litigation practice.
- Prior experience managing an in-house litigation calendar.
- Familiarity with scheduling depositions, medical evaluations, and case-related appointments.
- Strong productivity, reliability, and ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
