Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor for a direct hire opportunity in Tacoma, WA. This role is ideal for a hands-on warehouse leader who enjoys coaching employees, improving daily workflow, and keeping shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse operations running safely and efficiently.

The Warehouse Supervisor will lead a team in a fast-paced logistics and materials handling environment, helping ensure orders are accurate, deadlines are met, and safety standards are consistently followed. This is a strong opportunity for a dependable leader who values teamwork, organization, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee daily receiving, shipping, picking, packing, loading, unloading, and material handling activities.
- Coordinate workflow to ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time.
- Maintain accurate inventory handling, support cycle counts, and assist with physical inventory processes.
- Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements while maintaining a clean, organized warehouse.
- Communicate with management, drivers, vendors, and internal departments to resolve issues and improve efficiency.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Lead daily warehouse operations across shipping, receiving, inventory, and order fulfillment.
- Assign work, monitor employee performance, and ensure productivity goals are met.
- Maintain safe, organized, and efficient warehouse processes.
- Support process improvements that reduce costs, improve accuracy, and increase productivity.

- 2+ years of warehouse or distribution experience required.
- 3 to 5 years of related experience preferred based on role level.
- Previous supervisory, lead, or team leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping, and receiving procedures.
- Ability to operate or oversee forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely.
- Basic computer skills and experience using warehouse management or inventory systems.
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to lead by example, coach employees, and hold team members accountable.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment and manage competing priorities.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience conducting safety meetings, employee training, and ongoing performance coaching.
- Experience assisting with scheduling, attendance tracking, and performance management.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety requirements in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Experience identifying operational improvements in warehouse productivity, accuracy, or cost control.
