Job Summary

A growing organization in San Clemente, CA is seeking a Warehouse Assistant/Support professional for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for someone with a strong warehouse, shipping, receiving, manufacturing, or distribution background who also enjoys detailed clerical work, documentation, compliance, and import/export administration.

This is a higher-level warehouse support position with a strong mix of hands-on warehouse activity and office-based administrative responsibilities. The company has been established for more than 20 years and is currently experiencing significant growth after a recent acquisition, creating an exciting environment for someone who can adapt quickly, contribute across departments, and grow with the team.

The right candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable wearing many hats in a fast-moving workplace. Key Responsibilities

- Support shipping, receiving, container processing, inspections, picking, packing, and quality control activities.
- Prepare, review, and maintain detailed import/export, customs, compliance, and warehouse documentation.
- Use Excel and MS Office tools to track shipments, inventory-related information, paperwork, and operational details.
- Assist with warehouse workflow, order accuracy, product handling, and documentation tied to regulated processes.
- Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs. while following safety, quality, and operational procedures.
- Pivot between clerical and warehouse priorities as business needs change throughout the day.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $27 to $30 per hour.
- Job Type: Temp-to-Hire.
- Location: San Clemente, CA.
- Medical benefits through Blue Shield after permanent hire, with employee medical coverage paid by the company.
- Employees may upgrade to a different medical plan and pay the difference.
- 401(k) eligibility after 1 year of permanent employment.
- Company matches 3% of salary whether the employee contributes or not.
- Vision and dental are not currently offered.



Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, containers, inspections, picking, packing, and quality control.
- Prepare and manage detailed import/export, customs, compliance, and warehouse paperwork.
- Maintain Excel spreadsheets and support administrative tracking for regulated processes.
- Balance hands-on warehouse duties with clerical and documentation responsibilities.

- 3 to 5 years of relevant warehouse, logistics, shipping/receiving, import/export, or distribution experience.
- Experience working with overseas containers, import/export documentation, customs paperwork, or regulated compliance processes.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and general MS Office proficiency.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail, especially when reviewing paperwork, documentation, and compliance information.
- Reliable, flexible, and able to shift priorities quickly in a fast-paced growth environment.
- Positive, team-oriented personality with a can-do attitude.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow through on multiple tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

- Manufacturing or distribution industry background.
- Experience in a rapidly growing company or changing operational environment.
- Prior experience supporting both warehouse operations and administrative documentation.
- Familiarity with quality control processes, inspections, and highly regulated product handling.
