A well-established, locally owned exterior construction company is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee residential and commercial exterior projects throughout the Greater Seattle and Eastside area. This is a field leadership role focused on crew oversight, project coordination, scheduling, quality control, customer communication, and problem solving.
This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional who understands the field and enjoys leading projects, but is ready to step away from daily physical labor. The Superintendent will help keep multiple projects organized, moving forward, and aligned with scope, schedule, and quality expectations.
The work environment is casual, team-oriented, and focused on communication, reliability, quality workmanship, and strong customer care. This role offers stability, ownership, and the opportunity to use hands-on construction knowledge in a leadership and project oversight capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee residential and commercial exterior construction projects from start through completion.
- Visit active job sites to monitor progress, workmanship, scheduling, safety awareness, and overall project flow.
- Provide direction to field crews and help ensure teams have the information, materials, and priorities needed to keep work moving.
- Coordinate with office, sales, operations, customers, and field teams to communicate updates, changes, delays, and project needs.
- Conduct quality-control checks, project walkthroughs, punch-list reviews, and follow-up on outstanding items.
- Manage multiple active projects while maintaining a professional job-site environment and positive customer experience.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $90,000 to $130,000 per year.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
- Schedule: Full-time.
- Location: Bothell, WA, with projects throughout the Greater Seattle and Eastside area.
- Oversee exterior construction projects including siding, roofing, windows, exterior painting, exterior carpentry, decking, and exterior renovations.
- Coordinate crews, schedules, materials, job-site priorities, and project sequencing.
- Monitor project progress, workmanship, quality standards, punch-list items, and customer communication.
- Identify field issues early and communicate solutions to internal teams, crews, and customers.
- 6 to 10 years of relevant construction experience preferred.
- Previous experience as a Construction Superintendent, Field Superintendent, Construction Manager, Project Superintendent, Foreman, or similar field leadership role.
- Residential and/or commercial construction experience required.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, project workflow, job-site coordination, and quality expectations.
- Experience overseeing field crews and directing work without performing installation labor.
- Ability to understand project scope, recognize workmanship issues, and address concerns proactively.
- Strong organizational, scheduling, documentation, and follow-up skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to work with tradespeople, customers, and internal teams.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects, changing priorities, and time-sensitive field challenges.
- Basic computer skills and ability to provide clear project updates.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exterior construction or remodeling experience strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with siding, roofing, windows, exterior painting, carpentry, decking, or related trades.
- Experience in both residential and commercial exterior construction.
- Strong customer-facing communication skills in occupied residential or commercial project environments.
- Dependable, proactive, detail-oriented, solutions-focused, and confident leading crews in the field.
