We are recruiting for a Sr. IT Engineer to support a large-scale SAP digital transformation initiative within the energy and utilities industry in Columbus, OH. The Sr. IT Engineer will contribute to SAP solution delivery across a modern enterprise environment, including S/4HANA, SAP Service Cloud, ABAP, SAP BTP, security, integrations, and DevSecOps practices. This role offers a hybrid schedule, meaningful transformation work, and the opportunity to partner with talented technical and business teams in a stable, mission-critical industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Support SAP solution delivery for enterprise digital transformation initiatives across an energy and utilities environment.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, architects, security teams, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable SAP solutions.
- Assist with SAP design, configuration, development, integration, testing, deployment, and ongoing application support.
- Apply DevSecOps principles, SAP security models, and integration best practices to improve solution quality, reliability, and compliance.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues, identify root causes, and recommend effective solutions in a multi-vendor enterprise environment.
- Contribute to technical documentation, deployment planning, standards development, and continuous improvement efforts.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay Rate: $60.00 to $70.00 per hour.
- Job Type: Contract to Perm opportunity. 
- Contract Duration: August 2026 to February 2027.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid schedule with Tuesday through Thursday in office and Monday and Friday remote.
- Location: Columbus, OH.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support SAP solution delivery for a major enterprise digital transformation project.
- Partner with technical teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to deliver SAP solutions.
- Assist with implementation, integration, security, testing, and deployment activities.
- Help drive reliable SAP application performance in a complex enterprise environment.

- 7+ years of SAP solution delivery experience.
- Hands-on experience with S/4HANA, SAP Service Cloud, ABAP, and SAP BTP.
- Strong understanding of SAP security models, integration technologies, and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience working in complex, multi-vendor enterprise technology environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and communicate solutions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration, problem-solving, documentation, and delivery-focused skills.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States via citizenship or green card.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in the utility or energy industry.
- Experience supporting large-scale SAP transformation or modernization programs.
- Background working in hybrid enterprise environments with cross-functional delivery teams.
- Familiarity with governance, compliance, change management, and release management in SAP environments.
