We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator for a direct hire opportunity in Chatsworth, CA. Key Responsibilities
- Review plans, specifications, bid documents, contract requirements, and project scope to prepare accurate electrical construction estimates.
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, low-voltage systems, building controls, and site electrical work.
- Develop comprehensive labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and vendor pricing for conceptual, budgetary, negotiated, and hard-bid estimates.
- Solicit, review, and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations while identifying scope gaps, risks, constructability concerns, and value engineering opportunities.
- Participate in bid strategy meetings, executive estimate reviews, preconstruction coordination, and project turnover meetings after award.
- Build strong relationships with clients, general contractors, suppliers, subcontractors, project managers, field leaders, and internal teams.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Prepare detailed estimates for complex commercial, industrial, healthcare, institutional, and data center electrical construction projects.
- Manage multiple bids, deadlines, vendor quotes, takeoffs, risk reviews, and estimate deliverables simultaneously.
- Coordinate with preconstruction, operations, project management, field leadership, and executive stakeholders throughout the estimating process.
- Support project pursuits, bid strategy, value engineering, and post-award turnover activities.
- 8+ years of electrical estimating experience.
- Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical construction methods.
- Experience estimating electrical projects ranging from $1M to $50M+.
- Ability to interpret complex construction drawings, specifications, bid documents, and contract requirements.
- Proficiency with estimating and takeoff software such as Accubid, Bluebeam, and Trimble products.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code and applicable electrical codes.
- Experience estimating labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor scope, vendor pricing, and project risk.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with clients, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, executives, project managers, and field teams.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, competitive, and profitable estimates under deadline pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Field electrical experience.
- Design-build and design-assist project experience.
- Experience estimating healthcare, hospitality, aerospace, commercial, or industrial facility projects.
- Prior experience mentoring junior estimators or supporting estimating process improvements.
