We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping Associate for a part-time, temp-to-hire opportunity in West Plains, MO. This role is ideal for someone with mailroom, shipping, receiving, print production, or administrative support experience who enjoys staying organized, working hands-on, and supporting daily office operations.
As a Shipping Associate, you will help manage package handling, mail processing, print production, and office support tasks in a professional on-site environment. This opportunity offers a consistent weekday schedule, a supportive team setting, and the potential to grow into a full-time hire for candidates who demonstrate reliability, accuracy, and strong customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle daily boxing, shipping, receiving, mailing, and package processing activities.
- Meter outgoing mail and ensure packages are prepared accurately and on time.
- Operate high-volume copy and print equipment, paper insertion machines, and binding equipment.
- Keep printers stocked with paper and maintain clean, organized convenience and supply areas.
- Perform light data entry and basic administrative tasks using Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
- Provide courteous, professional support to internal customers and team members.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Part-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
- Estimated Hours: Approximately 27.5 hours per week.
- Location: West Plains, MO, 1800 Air Medical Dr.
- Job Type: Temp-to-hire with potential for full-time hire.
- Manage daily shipping, receiving, mail metering, and package preparation.
- Operate office print, copy, insertion, and binding equipment.
- Maintain organized printer stations, supply areas, and document processing workflows.
- Support light administrative tasks and basic data entry.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1 to 2 years of related experience preferred in shipping, mailroom, print production, office services, or administrative support.
- Ability to lift and move up to 65 lbs multiple times daily.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email, Word, and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
- Customer service mindset with a dependable, team-oriented work style.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating high-volume print, copy, mail processing, or binding equipment.
- Prior experience in a mailroom, shipping department, office services center, or administrative support environment.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on role that requires frequent movement, lifting, and multitasking.
