Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior IT Consultant for a direct hire opportunity in Santa Barbara, CA. This full-time role is ideal for an experienced technology professional who can provide technical leadership, guide IT strategy, and deliver reliable, secure, and scalable technology solutions.
The Senior IT Consultant will work closely with stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners to evaluate current systems, lead infrastructure and cloud initiatives, resolve complex technical issues, and support long-term technology planning. Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate existing IT systems, infrastructure, and processes, then recommend improvements to increase performance, reliability, security, and scalability.
- Lead technology projects, including infrastructure upgrades, cloud adoption, virtualization initiatives, system integrations, and enterprise technology improvements.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and support for complex technical issues, escalations, and critical system incidents.
- Develop and maintain IT standards, documentation, procedures, and best practices to support consistent and secure operations.
- Identify cybersecurity risks, support compliance efforts, and recommend solutions that protect systems, users, and data.
- Coordinate with vendors, service providers, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure successful project planning, execution, and delivery.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $90,000 to $130,000 per year.
- Employment type: Direct hire, full-time.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Lead infrastructure, cloud, virtualization, and system integration projects from planning through implementation.
- Evaluate business technology needs and recommend practical, secure, and scalable IT solutions.
- Provide senior-level technical support for complex incidents, escalations, and enterprise technology challenges.
- Support long-term IT planning, standards development, documentation, and technology improvement initiatives.
- 7 or more years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, network management, infrastructure support, or related technology roles.
- Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, cloud technologies, virtualization, network environments, and systems management.
- Experience managing large-scale technology projects, system implementations, infrastructure upgrades, or similar initiatives.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, risk management, data protection practices, and IT compliance considerations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and align technology priorities with business goals.
- Proven ability to work independently, collaborate across teams, and provide leadership or mentorship to technical staff when needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional IT certifications related to cloud, networking, cybersecurity, systems administration, or project management.
- Experience with IT budgeting, resource planning, vendor management, or contract coordination.
- Background supporting business continuity, disaster recovery planning, and enterprise resilience strategies.
- Experience with network architecture, security solutions, endpoint management, and multi-location or enterprise-level technology environments.
