A growing construction firm in Orlando, FL is seeking a Senior Estimator to support commercial construction and hotel renovation projects. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for an experienced construction estimating professional who enjoys developing accurate cost estimates, evaluating bids, and helping position projects for successful execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed conceptual, budgetary, and final construction estimates for commercial construction and hotel renovation projects.
- Review and analyze drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project requirements to develop accurate pricing.
- Solicit, compare, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure complete and competitive proposals.
- Perform quantity takeoffs, cost analyses, risk reviews, and value engineering recommendations.
- Develop bid packages, proposal documents, and project handoff information for operations and project management teams.
- Maintain current pricing data, vendor relationships, and subcontractor communication throughout the estimating process.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Prepare construction estimates for commercial construction and hotel renovation projects.
- Analyze plans, specifications, scopes, subcontractor bids, and supplier pricing.
- Develop bid packages, proposal documents, and project handoff materials.
- Support value engineering, cost analysis, and estimating strategy for active and upcoming projects.

- 5+ years of estimating experience in hotel construction, renovation, commercial construction, or general contracting.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, labor, subcontractor scopes, and project costs.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, drawings, and construction documents.
- Experience preparing detailed estimates, bid proposals, takeoffs, and cost comparisons.
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and deadline management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple bids, priorities, and project deadlines simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred but not required.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience estimating hotel renovation or hospitality construction projects.
- Background working with general contractors or commercial construction teams.
- Established subcontractor and supplier relationships in the Orlando or Central Florida market.
- Experience attending pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project walkthroughs.
- Strong value engineering skills with the ability to recommend cost-saving alternatives.
