Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Estimator for a direct hire opportunity in Orlando, FL with a growing construction team focused on commercial construction, renovation, and general contracting projects. This role is ideal for an experienced construction estimating professional who enjoys reviewing plans, developing accurate project costs, preparing competitive bids, and supporting successful project delivery from preconstruction through award.
The Senior Estimator will play a key role in helping the team evaluate project scope, control costs, identify value engineering opportunities, and build strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed conceptual, budgetary, and final estimates for commercial construction and renovation projects.
- Review blueprints, drawings, specifications, and project documents to understand scope, materials, labor, and project requirements.
- Perform quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and pricing evaluations to support accurate bids and proposals.
- Solicit, review, and compare subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitive and complete pricing.
- Develop bid packages, proposals, and estimating documentation for internal review and client submission.
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and leadership throughout the preconstruction and estimating process.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $85,000 to $90,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Prepare construction estimates for commercial, hotel, renovation, or general contracting projects.
- Analyze plans, specifications, drawings, and scope documents to develop accurate project pricing.
- Manage subcontractor and supplier bid solicitation, review, comparison, and documentation.
- Support pre-bid meetings, site visits, walkthroughs, proposals, and value engineering discussions.
- 5+ years of construction estimating experience, preferably in hotel construction, renovation, or general contracting.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, labor, subcontractor pricing, and project costs.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, construction drawings, and technical documents.
- Experience preparing detailed estimates, bid proposals, and supporting estimating documentation.
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates, priorities, deadlines, and project stakeholders in a fast-paced construction environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience estimating hotel construction, hospitality renovation, or commercial interior renovation projects.
- Prior estimating experience with a general contractor.
- Established relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, or vendors in the Orlando construction market.
- Experience maintaining pricing databases and identifying cost-saving or value engineering opportunities.
