We are seeking a motivated Sales Training Specialist for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Petaluma, CA. This role is ideal for a sales training professional who enjoys coaching others, developing high-impact learning experiences, and helping sales teams improve performance.
The Sales Training Specialist will support onboarding for new sales employees, deliver established training programs, measure trainee progress, and contribute ideas to improve learning effectiveness. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging sales training sessions for new hires and current sales personnel using established training materials.
- Monitor and evaluate trainee performance to measure learning effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Coach new sales personnel to support onboarding, skill development, and long-term success.
- Develop new approaches, techniques, and recommendations to improve sales training programs.
- Maintain and update training records, materials, and related documentation.
- Stay current on market trends, sales best practices, and the needs of a corporate sales environment.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $32 to $34 per hour.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
- Location: Petaluma, CA.
- Deliver sales training programs for new and existing sales team members.
- Monitor new hire performance and provide coaching to improve sales effectiveness.
- Measure training outcomes and recommend improvements to training content and delivery.
- Maintain updated training materials, records, and learning resources.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, or a related field, or a comparable record of sales leadership experience.
- 2 to 4 years of experience as a Sales Training Specialist, Corporate Sales Trainer, Sales Trainer, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of the sales process, sales best practices, and corporate sales environments.
- Proficiency with e-learning platforms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation, coaching, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to teach sales concepts effectively and measure employee performance.
- Ability to motivate others, support skill development, and promote continuous improvement.
- Excellent time management, customer service, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced sales training environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting sales onboarding programs in a Computer/IT Services or technology-focused environment.
- Prior experience improving or redesigning sales training materials, learning paths, or coaching programs.
- Familiarity with blended learning methods, virtual training tools, or learning management systems.
- Experience working with sales leaders to identify performance gaps and align training with business goals.
