Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive online research to identify, verify, and document music copyright ownership.

- Use internet resources, direct sources, and reference tools to support research accuracy.
- Respond to inquiries promptly and professionally while providing accurate information.

Compensation and Benefits

- Compensation: $18 per hour.
- Annualized compensation: $37,440 per year.

- Conduct music copyright ownership research using online resources, direct sources, and reference tools.
- Maintain and update music administration databases with accurate song and release information.
- Perform detailed data entry, record matching, and administrative support for music-related records.
- Support internal and external inquiries with timely, accurate, and professional communication.

- Bachelor’s degree in Music Business required.
- 1 to 2 years of experience or entry-level professional experience in research, administrative support, data entry, music administration, or a related area.
- Familiarity with musical artists, genres, and styles.
- Strong typing, data entry, and database management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Apps.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to verify information accurately.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer service mindset with the ability to respond to inquiries clearly and professionally.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Understanding of music publishing, music copyright, royalties, rights administration, or music catalog data.
- Prior internship, coursework, or hands-on experience related to music business, music administration, publishing, or entertainment research.
- Experience working with databases, spreadsheets, or digital research tools.
