Job Summary
We are seeking Remote Call Center Customer Service Representatives for a contract/temporary Open Enrollment project supporting consumers with health care Marketplace inquiries. This remote customer support role is ideal for candidates who enjoy helping people, explaining information clearly, and providing accurate service in a structured call center environment.
In this role, you will assist individuals, families, prospective enrollees, and authorized representatives with general questions, application support, eligibility information, enrollment assistance, updates, and other Marketplace-related needs. This opportunity offers paid hourly work, remote flexibility, structured training, and the chance to support an important public service program. Candidates can expect a team-focused environment with clear procedures, supportive leadership, and ongoing training to help them succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer inbound calls from consumers, prospective enrollees, the general public, and authorized representatives while following established policies, procedures, and privacy standards.
- Assist callers with health care coverage applications, household information, income details, eligibility determinations, and health plan enrollment.
- Document all inquiries, updates, and case details accurately in required systems.
- Process life event changes, demographic updates, disenrollment requests, and special enrollment period requests.
- Facilitate caller requests for materials by mail, email, or download, and coordinate translation services when needed.
- Escalate complex calls or issues to designated staff and participate in required meetings and training sessions.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $18 and for Bi-lingual Spanish, $19/hour

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Provide remote call center support for Marketplace health care coverage inquiries.
- Process applications, household updates, eligibility information, and enrollment requests by phone.
- Accurately document calls, inquiries, and actions in applicable systems.
- Follow confidentiality, privacy, performance, policy, and procedural requirements.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Less than 1 year of experience accepted.
- Strong customer service, phone communication, and active listening skills.
- Ability to explain information clearly, professionally, and patiently to callers with varying needs.
- Comfortable using computer systems to track inquiries, process information, and document call outcomes.
- Ability to follow scripts, protocols, compliance requirements, and escalation procedures.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to maintain professionalism in a remote call center environment.
- Willingness to attend training and maintain current knowledge of programs, systems, and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior call center, customer service, healthcare, insurance, government program, or public sector support experience.
- Experience assisting consumers with applications, eligibility questions, or enrollment processes.
- Bilingual or multilingual communication skills are helpful.
- Previous experience working in a remote customer service environment.
