About the Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to support our R&D team. This position is responsible for managing purchase orders, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring timely delivery of materials that support manufacturing and product development activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or administrative experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Obtain and compare vendor quotes in collaboration with engineers and project teams.
Create, process, and maintain purchase orders accurately and in compliance with company requirements.
Track orders and communicate with suppliers and carriers to ensure on-time deliveries.
Maintain vendor records and update pricing and purchasing information.
Coordinate material deliveries with project teams across multiple locations.
Investigate and resolve invoice, shipment, and pricing discrepancies.
Assist with inventory monitoring and reorder point management.
Support purchasing procedures, supplier agreements, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Maintain accurate purchasing documentation and records.
Qualifications
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
Associate degree.
1-2 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience.
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with ERP systems.
Knowledge of inventory control and purchasing processes.
