Job Summary

We are seeking a Property Assistant for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Vallejo, CA within the real estate and property management industry. This role is ideal for an organized administrative professional with experience supporting affordable housing documentation, resident files, applicant records, and TCAC/HUD compliance processes.

The Property Assistant will work closely with property management and compliance teams to help maintain accurate files, support certifications and recertifications, and ensure documentation is complete and well organized. Key Responsibilities

- Maintain, organize, and update resident, applicant, and compliance files to ensure accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality.
- Process and review TCAC and HUD documentation, including certifications, recertifications, and supporting compliance records.
- Assist with file audits, inspections, compliance reviews, and preparation of documentation for internal and external review.
- Enter and maintain accurate information in property management software, databases, and office systems.
- Provide administrative support by answering phones, responding to emails, scheduling appointments, preparing correspondence, and coordinating meetings.
- Perform general office duties including filing, scanning, copying, document management, and records maintenance.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $25.00 to $26.00 per hour.
- Job type: Temp-to-Hire.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support affordable housing compliance documentation, including TCAC and HUD files.
- Maintain accurate resident, applicant, certification, and recertification records.
- Assist property management and compliance teams with audits, inspections, and file reviews.
- Provide day-to-day administrative support for office operations and resident service.

- 3 to 5 years of administrative, clerical, property management, or affordable housing support experience.
- Experience with TCAC, HUD, affordable housing, resident files, compliance documentation, or related property management processes.
- Strong data entry, document management, filing, scanning, and records organization skills.
- Proficiency with office systems, email, scheduling, and database or property management software.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality, and follow-through.
- Professional communication skills with the ability to support residents, applicants, vendors, and internal teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience supporting affordable housing communities, multifamily housing, or property management offices.
- Familiarity with certification and recertification processes for regulated housing programs.
- Experience preparing files for audits, compliance reviews, or inspections.
- Bilingual communication skills are helpful but not required.
