Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable Production Worker - Filling for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Oxnard, CA. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in production, assembly, packaging, filling, labeling, or general manufacturing who are looking for stable work with the potential to grow.
The Production Worker - Filling will support daily production by operating a small filling machine, staging product, packaging flavoring compounds into smaller containers, labeling finished goods, and assisting with material handling. This is a hands-on production role in a temperature-controlled environment where teamwork, attention to detail, and dependability are important for success.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate or assist with a small filling machine to transfer flavoring compounds into 2.2 lb containers.
- Stage production materials, unbox product, label containers, and prepare items for the next step in the production process.
- Lift, move, and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs. as part of daily production duties.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, PPE, and production area requirements at all times.
- Work in a temperature-controlled production room and around filling lines, mixers, compressors, and other loud equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area while supporting team production goals.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $18 to $22 per hour.
- Job Type: Temp-to-Hire.
- Schedule: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Location: Oxnard, CA.
- Schedule may fluctuate depending on company needs.
- Must be able to train on first shift.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Support product filling operations using a small filling machine.
- Package flavoring compounds into smaller containers according to production needs.
- Unbox, label, stage, and prepare products for production workflow.
- Assist with lifting, moving, and organizing materials up to 50 lbs.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in production, assembly, packaging, filling, or a similar manufacturing environment preferred.
- Must have a stable work history.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be comfortable working around food grade allergens, including peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, soy, milk, and wheat.
- Must not have food allergies that would prevent safe work around listed allergens.
- Must be able to work in a temperature-controlled room with an ambient temperature of approximately 60 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Must be comfortable working around loud production equipment, including filling lines, mixers, compressors, and related machinery.
- Must be able to work occasionally with strong products such as habanero, jalapeno, almond, and similar materials while using provided PPE.
- Must follow strict personal hygiene and production safety standards, including no earrings, necklaces, fake nails, or nail polish.
- Nails must be short and trimmed.
- Jewelry is not allowed except for a plain band with no stones.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, teamwork, and ability to follow instructions are required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in food production, flavoring, filling, packaging, cosmetics production, or similar fast-paced manufacturing environments.
- Prior experience operating or assisting with filling machines or packaging equipment.
- Experience following GMP, food safety, PPE, or clean production area requirements.
- Candidates with strong attendance, reliability, and long-term employment stability are preferred.
