Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Planner II for a direct-hire opportunity in San Fernando, CA within a manufacturing environment. The Production Planner II will support daily, weekly, and monthly production planning based on customer orders, sales forecasts, inventory levels, material availability, and production capacity. Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, sales forecasts, inventory requirements, material availability, and available capacity.
- Create daily, weekly, and monthly production plans to support timely and efficient manufacturing operations.
- Identify material shortages, scheduling conflicts, and inventory discrepancies, then coordinate action plans to resolve issues.
- Partner with production, inventory, shipping, receiving, purchasing, and customer support teams to align planning priorities and operational needs.
- Prepare and coordinate pull sheets for raw materials to support scheduled production requirements.
- Communicate schedule updates, shortages, delays, and operational changes to internal teams and external stakeholders as needed.

- Salary range: $70,000 to $80,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Develop production plans that align customer demand, inventory availability, and manufacturing capacity.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve shortages, scheduling conflicts, and production planning issues.
- Maintain accurate schedules, material pull sheets, and planning updates to support efficient operations.
- Communicate production status, timeline changes, and inventory concerns clearly and proactively.

- 3 to 5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, inventory coordination, or a related manufacturing support role.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, production, or operations environment.
- Strong understanding of production schedules, material availability, inventory flow, and capacity planning.
- Ability to identify shortages, discrepancies, and scheduling risks before they impact production.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across production, purchasing, inventory, shipping, receiving, and customer support teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and time-sensitive deadlines.
- Proactive problem-solving mindset with the ability to support smooth and efficient manufacturing operations.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience preparing material pull sheets or coordinating raw material availability for production.
- Familiarity with ERP, MRP, inventory management, or production scheduling systems.
- Experience supporting daily, weekly, and monthly production planning cycles.
- Prior experience in a direct manufacturing planning role within a high-volume or deadline-driven environment.
