Job Summary

We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Personal Banker for a direct hire opportunity in Santa Monica, CA. This role is ideal for a banking professional with prior teller, personal banking, or retail banking experience who enjoys building customer relationships, identifying financial needs, and delivering a high level of service.

The Personal Banker will support new and existing customers, open and maintain accounts, promote banking products and services, and help resolve customer questions with accuracy and professionalism. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills, proven sales ability, and a consultative approach to helping customers select the right banking solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Open new accounts accurately and service existing personal banking accounts.
- Promote and cross-sell banking products and services based on customer needs.
- Deliver exceptional customer service that meets or exceeds bank standards.
- Resolve customer questions, account concerns, and service issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform outbound calling to generate sales opportunities, increase product usage, and support customer retention.
- Maintain professionalism, accuracy, and compliance with banking procedures in daily interactions.

Compensation and Benefits

- Compensation: $22 to $27 per hour.
- Job Type: Direct hire.
- Schedule: Open availability, including weekends, is required.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Open and maintain personal banking accounts while providing accurate customer service.
- Cross-sell banking products and services based on customer needs.
- Conduct outbound calling to support sales, retention, and lead generation.
- Resolve customer issues professionally while maintaining bank service standards.

- Prior banking, teller, or personal banking experience required.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience preferred based on role level.
- Solid sales experience with a proven track record of offering banking products and services.
- Experience with warm lead generation and customer relationship building.
- Personal banking experience, with 2 or more years preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills and a high level of professionalism.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to work weekends and maintain open availability.

Preferred Qualifications

- College degree preferred.
- Experience in retail banking, consumer lending, or financial services sales.
- Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate banking solutions.
- Demonstrated success in cross-selling, customer retention, and relationship-based banking.
