The Payroll & Human Resources Generalist II is responsible for administering payroll operations and supporting key human resources functions for an employee population of approximately 400 employees. This position serves as the primary onsite payroll resource and a key HR partner for employees, supervisors, and managers regarding payroll, timekeeping, onboarding, benefits, employee relations, and compliance matters.
Approximately 60% of the role is dedicated to payroll administration, including payroll processing, auditing, compliance, reporting, and employee support. The remaining 40% focuses on Human Resources Generalist responsibilities, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, records administration, and HR compliance. This role requires the ability to manage confidential information, interpret employment and payroll regulations, and deliver exceptional customer service within a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Additional Skills

Minimum 5 years of payroll administration experience, including responsibility for payroll populations of 400+ employees.
• Minimum 3 years of Human Resources Generalist experience supporting a manufacturing or industrial workforce.
• Experience administering payroll through an integrated HRIS/payroll platform (Dayforce preferred).
• Experience with California payroll and employment law strongly preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
• Strong knowledge of payroll laws, payroll accounting principles, and timekeeping systems.
• Working knowledge of employment law, employee relations, leave administration, recruiting, and HR compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to manage payroll processing for a workforce of 400+ employees while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
• Advanced Excel and reporting capabilities preferred.
• College degree in an applicable curriculum preferred.
