A stable and growing organization in the Fresno area is seeking an experienced Payroll Clerk to support a busy Human Resources team in a high-volume operational environment. Key Responsibilities

- Process payroll accurately and efficiently for a high-volume employee population.
- Review employee timecards, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely payroll completion.
- Maintain payroll records using HRIS and payroll software systems.
- Assist with payroll reporting, data analysis, and spreadsheet-based tracking.
- Respond to employee and supervisor questions regarding payroll, timekeeping, and related issues.
- Support the HR team with administrative tasks, payroll compliance, and documentation.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay range: $23 to $27 per hour.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary.
- Location: Fresno, CA.
- Benefits available upon permanent hire.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Process payroll and review employee timecards for accuracy.
- Maintain payroll data in HRIS and payroll software systems.
- Support payroll reporting, compliance, and employee payroll inquiries.
- Assist the HR department with payroll-related administrative functions.

- 3 to 5 years of payroll experience required.
- Previous experience in a high-volume payroll environment preferred.
- Experience using an HRIS system and payroll software required.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting and data review.
- Understanding of California labor laws and payroll compliance.
- Advanced computer and technical skills.
- Strong math aptitude and excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work with urgency, maintain accuracy, and solve problems independently.
- Self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with ADP strongly preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish skills preferred, but not required.
- Prior payroll experience in a manufacturing, waste management, logistics, or operations-based environment is a plus.
