We are seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal - Probate/Real Estate for a direct hire opportunity in Glendale, CA. This role is ideal for a legal professional with experience supporting probate, estate planning, ownership transfers, trust documentation, affidavits, and real estate-related records.
The Paralegal - Probate/Real Estate will support transfer-of-ownership matters, gather and review legal documentation, communicate with families and property owners, and coordinate with internal legal resources. Key Responsibilities
- Explain the transfer-of-ownership process to involved parties by phone, email, and in-person meetings.
- Identify current property owners, confirm ownership records, and gather legal information needed to initiate ownership transfers.
- Prepare, review, and process legal documents such as affidavits, transfer agreements, certifications, name changes, and related forms.
- Obtain and verify notarized signatures, trust documents, powers of attorney, court orders, and other legal records for attorney review.
- Maintain accurate data entry in internal records systems while managing customer service, clerical tasks, and strict deadlines.
- Communicate professionally with families, property owners, attorneys, and internal teams regarding sensitive legal and ownership matters.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $89,000 to $95,000 per year.
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Some local travel to other locations may be required.
- Mileage expense reimbursement is provided for required local travel.
- Support probate, estate planning, trust, and real estate-related ownership transfer matters.
- Prepare, review, and process affidavits, transfer agreements, certifications, name change documents, and related legal forms.
- Gather, verify, and organize legal records for attorney review, including trust documents, powers of attorney, court orders, and notarized signatures.
- Communicate with families, property owners, attorneys, and internal teams regarding sensitive legal and ownership matters.
- 1 to 2 years of paralegal, legal assistant, or legal support experience.
- Experience with probate, estate planning, trust administration, real estate records, or property ownership transfers.
- Strong document review, legal records management, and data entry skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and deadline management.
- Professional, patient, and service-focused approach when working with families and property owners.
- MUST have an ABA approved Paralegal certificate
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting attorneys with probate, estate planning, trust documentation, or real estate transfer matters.
- Familiarity with affidavits, certifications, powers of attorney, court orders, notarized documents, and ownership records.
- Experience communicating directly with clients, families, property owners, or beneficiaries.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative legal or professional services environment.
