Job Summary
A growing legal team in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an experienced Paralegal-Insurance Defense to support active litigation matters in a fast-paced, professional law firm environment. Key Responsibilities
- Review, organize, and summarize medical records, billing records, and supporting case documentation.
- Prepare medical chronologies, billing summaries, and case materials for attorney review.
- Support attorneys with insurance defense litigation, including bodily injury and general liability matters.
- Maintain case files, litigation calendars, deadlines, and document organization.
- Draft, proofread, and organize legal documents, correspondence, and case-related materials.
- Communicate professionally with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, court personnel, and internal team members.
Compensation and Benefits
- Temporary pay: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour.
- Direct hire salary: Approximately $65,000 to $75,000 annually, based on experience.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Support insurance defense litigation matters from case intake through active case management.
- Prepare medical chronologies, billing summaries, and organized litigation documentation.
- Manage case deadlines, files, calendars, and attorney support priorities.
- Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience.
- Experience reviewing and summarizing medical records and billing documentation.
- Strong knowledge of litigation support processes and case file management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Excellent written communication, verbal communication, proofreading, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a busy legal environment.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative legal team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Insurance defense litigation experience.
- Experience with bodily injury and/or general liability cases.
- Knowledge of court procedures and litigation processes.
- Experience using legal case management software or other legal technology tools.
