Job Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead warehouse and distribution operations in a fast-paced 3PL environment in Brisbane, CA. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a hands-on logistics leader with a strong background in warehousing, inventory control, shipping and receiving, team development, safety, and customer service. 
This position is on site Monday - Friday.

The Operations Manager will play a key role in driving operational excellence, improving productivity, meeting service level goals, and building high-performing teams. This role offers the opportunity to lead critical warehouse operations in a stable and performance-driven environment where safety, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement are valued.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead daily warehouse and distribution operations, including inventory control, shipping, receiving, productivity, quality, and customer service.
- Manage operational KPIs, service levels, labor planning, performance goals, and budget objectives.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles to improve safety, quality, cost, and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, environmental, regulatory, and company operating requirements.
- Supervise, coach, and develop warehouse employees, supervisors, and leadership team members.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and provide operational solutions that support service excellence.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $100,000 to $105,000 per year.
- Job type: Direct hire.
- Location: Brisbane, CA.
- Travel: Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.
- Schedule: Flexible schedule required.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Lead warehouse operations across inventory, productivity, quality, shipping, receiving, and customer service.
- Manage operational KPIs, service levels, staffing, scheduling, onboarding, and performance management.
- Drive Lean continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse and distribution processes.
- Monitor facility and equipment maintenance to support safe and efficient operations.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- 10+ years of warehouse, distribution, logistics, or 3PL operations experience required.
- 5+ years of leadership and people management experience required.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping and receiving, and process improvement.
- Experience with SAP, WMS systems, or similar warehouse management platforms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment.
- Commitment to safety, compliance, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience leading operations in a 3PL, automotive, parts manufacturing, or high-volume distribution environment.
- Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement training or certification.
- Experience managing budgets, labor planning, and customer-facing operational performance reviews.
- Strong background developing frontline supervisors and building accountable warehouse teams.
