A leading truck-trailer rental and leasing organization is hiring an Operations Management Trainee in Fontana, CA. You will learn the business from the ground up by working directly with customers, equipment, vendors, internal teams, and branch leadership. Key Responsibilities

- Support daily branch operations in a transportation yard and office environment, with approximately 80 percent of the role performed outdoors and 20 percent in the office.
- Assist commercial customers with trailer rental needs, equipment options, account questions, and service support.
- Inspect trailers using handheld technology, checking for damage, equipment issues, and repair needs inside, outside, and underneath trailers.
- Coordinate repair assignments with vendors and trailer mechanics to help keep rental equipment available and operating efficiently.
- Manage customer account activity, including credit support, collections assistance, insurance verification, inventory updates, and operational documentation.
- Use technology systems to complete equipment inventories, track assets, manage workflow, and support day-to-day logistics operations.

Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation: $50,000 annually
- Location: Fontana, CA 92337 | Onsite
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shift.
- Office hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Learn and support branch operations, including rental activity, equipment availability, inspections, repairs, and customer service.
- Assist customers with trailer rental options, account needs, equipment questions, and issue resolution.
- Use technology to complete trailer inspections, manage inventories, update records, and support operational accuracy.
- Coordinate with vendors, mechanics, customers, and internal teams to keep transportation operations moving efficiently.

- Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, supply chain, or a similar field of study.
- 1 to 2 years of equivalent relevant experience in customer-facing roles.
- Strong customer service skills, including the ability to handle complaints, resolve issues, and provide a positive customer experience.
- Comfortable working both outdoors in a transportation yard and indoors in an office setting.
- Willingness to relocate out of state to another nationwide facility upon promotion into an Operations or Sales position.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require current or future work authorization sponsorship.
- Self-starter with strong motivation, critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and a conscientious work style.
- Ability to learn operational systems, handheld technology, inventory processes, and equipment inspection procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

- Exposure to logistics, transportation, rental equipment, supply chain, operations, or customer account support.
- Interest in long-term growth into operations leadership, branch management, or business-to-business outside sales.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, service-focused environment where priorities can shift throughout the day.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build professional relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
