The Mortgage Loan Servicing Manager will provide day-to-day oversight of key servicing functions, support audit and regulatory readiness, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help ensure mortgage servicing activities are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with internal policies, investor requirements, and federal and state regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee mortgage servicing operations, including escrow accounts, tax payments, insurance coverage, insurance exceptions, force-placed insurance, and loss draft claim disbursements.
- Prepare and review payoff statements, respond to escrow and title company requests, and support investor and participation servicing activities, including reconciliations and wire activity.
- Perform, review, and resolve servicing-related reconciliations, exceptions, research items, and year-end servicing processes, including IRS Form 1098 reporting.
- Provide operational oversight to ensure accuracy, timeliness, compliance, and adherence to internal policies, investor guidelines, and regulatory expectations.
- Partner with Accounting, Finance, Lending, Compliance, Risk, Human Resources, and Learning and Development teams to resolve servicing issues, support training, and align processes.
- Support audits, examinations, internal reviews, process improvements, system enhancements, and regulatory change initiatives related to mortgage servicing.
Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $38.20 to $48.00 per hour.
- Open to higher-level candidates, with potential consideration for a higher title and compensation.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Manage mortgage servicing operations, including escrow, insurance, tax administration, payoff statements, investor servicing, and participation servicing.
- Oversee servicing reconciliations, research exceptions, wire activity, compliance support, audit readiness, and year-end IRS Form 1098 processes.
- Provide guidance, technical support, training assistance, documentation support, and informal or formal leadership to mortgage servicing staff.
- Collaborate with internal departments on servicing issues, process improvements, system enhancements, regulatory updates, and team development.
- Minimum of 5 years of mortgage servicing experience, with strong hands-on exposure to escrow, insurance, tax administration, and investor or participation servicing.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Five to eight years of mortgage lending and/or servicing experience preferred for the role scope.
- Hands-on experience with year-end servicing processes, including IRS Form 1098 reporting.
- Strong knowledge of mortgage loan servicing procedures, related laws, regulations, and compliance expectations.
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state regulatory requirements, including NCUA, CFPB, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Federal Home Loan Bank requirements.
- Knowledge of BSA, AML, and OFAC regulations as they apply to mortgage servicing, with ability to complete annual required training and support team compliance.
- Ability to register as a Mortgage Loan Originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System, including fingerprint submission and FBI criminal background check.
- Strong analytical, organizational, research, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong member or customer service skills, including timely follow-up, professionalism, and the ability to manage difficult situations calmly.
- Ability to produce accurate, thorough, high-quality work while managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work a consistent schedule on assigned days and times.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac servicing.
- Experience with loan participations.
- Experience with FICS, Cotality, Mortgage Servicer, and SWBC.
- Prior leadership, supervisory, coaching, or team mentorship experience.
- Experience contributing to training, onboarding, documentation, process improvement, system enhancement, or regulatory change initiatives.
