Job Summary
We are seeking a Medical Receptionist for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Los Angeles, CA. This role is ideal for a healthcare administrative professional who enjoys patient interaction, front office coordination, and supporting smooth clinic operations in a busy medical office or outpatient setting.
The Medical Receptionist will serve as a key point of contact for patients, helping create a welcoming and organized experience from check-in through check-out. Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients in person and by phone, assist with questions, and escalate concerns when appropriate.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out, collect co-payments, issue receipts, and reconcile payments.
- Verify patient demographics, insurance information, benefit plans, referrals, and authorizations.
- Schedule appointments, complete patient registration, and support front office workflow.
- Handle patient and provider correspondence while explaining policies, procedures, and services clearly.
- Maintain accurate records in CS-Link/Epic and support a positive patient experience.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $26 to $27 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Support patient registration, check-in, check-out, scheduling, and front desk administrative functions.
- Verify medical insurance, demographics, referral information, authorizations, and benefit details.
- Serve as the primary patient relations contact by phone and in person.
- Collect co-payments, reconcile payments, and maintain accurate documentation.
- High School Diploma required.
- Minimum 2 years of total similar registration experience in a hospital setting required.
- At least 1 year of recent experience within the last 2 to 3 years in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting required.
- Experience with patient check-in/check-out, medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans required.
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining professionalism and patient confidentiality.
- Covid and Flu vaccination required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the patient check-in process.
- Experience using CS-Link/Epic.
- 1 or more years of call center experience preferred for some roles.
