Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and organized Medical Front Office Admin for a temporary, on-site assignment in Ventura, CA. This role will provide leave coverage in a busy pediatric therapy office supporting Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Early Intervention services for children.

The Medical Front Office Admin will be an important part of the patient experience, helping families navigate scheduling, intake, insurance verification, billing questions, deductibles, and out-of-pocket cost explanations. This is a great opportunity for an experienced medical front office professional who enjoys working in a collaborative healthcare environment, supporting therapists and patients, and keeping daily operations running smoothly.

This position offers a supportive team environment, structured cross-training, steady weekday hours, and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful care services within the community. Candidates must be able to commit to the full temporary assignment through December.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate patient intakes and support a smooth check-in and front office experience for patients and families.
- Schedule appointments, manage calendars, and assist with assigning patients to appropriate therapists.
- Verify insurance information and explain deductibles, out-of-pocket amounts, and related insurance processes.
- Assist with billing-related questions, documentation, and accurate record maintenance.
- Manage multiple front office priorities in a busy medical office setting while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, therapists, and internal team members to support daily operations.

Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
- Location: Ventura, CA, on-site.
- Job Type: Contract/Temporary.
- Assignment Duration: Temporary assignment beginning in June and continuing through December 2026.
- Cross-training will be provided prior to the current employee’s last day.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Coordinate patient intake, scheduling, and front office workflow in a medical office setting.
- Verify insurance coverage and support billing, deductible, and out-of-pocket cost communication.
- Maintain organized patient records and assist with accurate documentation.
- Support therapists, patients, and families with professional front office communication.

- 3 to 5 years of relevant administrative, clerical, or medical front office experience preferred.
- Prior experience in a medical office, healthcare office, or insurance-related environment required.
- Strong understanding of insurance verification, deductibles, out-of-pocket costs, and patient billing processes.
- Scheduling experience in a front office or healthcare setting.
- Comfortable working in a busy front desk environment with frequent patient and team interaction.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, reliability, and follow-through.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced setting.
- Must be able to commit to the full length of the temporary assignment through December.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, pediatric therapy, or multi-disciplinary healthcare office.
- Familiarity supporting patient services for children or families.
- Experience assigning patients to providers or therapists based on schedules and service needs.
