Job Summary

A busy medical practice in Shreveport, LA is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant - Certified for a direct hire opportunity. Key Responsibilities

- Assist physicians with patient examinations, treatments, appointments, and in-office procedures.
- Prepare patients for visits by obtaining vital signs, patient histories, and clinical information.
- Enter, maintain, and update patient information accurately in EMR/EHR systems.
- Support chart preparation, documentation review, lab follow-up communication, and patient care coordination.
- Manage incoming clinical documentation and help ensure patient records are complete and compliant.
- Maintain patient confidentiality, HIPAA compliance, and efficient daily clinical workflow.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $33,280 to $37,440 per year.
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
- 1.5-hour lunch break.

- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.
- Previous back-office medical assisting experience required.
- Strong data entry, computer, and EMR/EHR system skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and patient documentation standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities.
- Professional communication skills and a patient-focused service mindset.
- Reliable attendance, dependable work history, and ability to work well in a team environment.
