Job Summary
A well-established banking and consumer lending organization in Santa Rosa, CA is seeking a Marketing Manager to lead brand marketing, digital communications, social media, website content, public relations, and marketing operations. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for an experienced marketing leader who enjoys managing people, coordinating with outside consultants and vendors, and building marketing strategies that support business growth, brand visibility, and community engagement.
The Marketing Manager will work closely with senior leadership, branch teams, outside agencies, media partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure marketing initiatives are delivered accurately, on time, and in compliance with banking policies and regulations. This is a highly visible management role for a self-directed professional who values teamwork, strong communication, community involvement, and the opportunity to make a measurable impact across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the marketing department, including assigning projects, mentoring staff, tracking progress, reviewing timecards, managing time off, and ensuring departmental objectives are achieved.
- Coordinate branding, advertising, social media, website updates, digital marketing, public relations, collateral materials, promotional items, and internal and external communications.
- Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for outside marketing consultants, advertising agencies, media outlets, vendors, senior management, and internal teams.
- Develop, implement, and manage social media strategy across platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram to increase brand awareness and support strategic goals.
- Track marketing initiatives, define key performance indicators, measure campaign success, and ensure timely delivery of accurate and compliant marketing materials.
- Support community engagement and CRA-related marketing opportunities, including planning and attending internal and external events as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $100,000 to $120,000 per year.
- Job type: Direct hire.

- Work arrangement: In-office role.
- CRA volunteer requirement: Minimum of 10 CRA volunteer hours per year, typically scheduled during business hours. Volunteer time is compensable, and mileage is reimbursed.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Manage marketing department operations, staff performance, project assignments, timelines, and accountability.
- Coordinate marketing consultants, vendors, agencies, media partners, and internal stakeholders to deliver marketing materials and campaigns.
- Lead digital marketing, website content, social media strategy, brand messaging, public relations, and marketing communications.
- Ensure marketing activities align with company objectives, community engagement opportunities, and applicable banking compliance requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, advertising, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5 to 10 years of hands-on digital communications or marketing experience, including social media, website content, online communications, design or development coordination, and copywriting.
- Prior experience managing marketing employees, external vendors, agencies, consultants, or media relationships.
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Proficiency with Adobe Design Standard Software and other relevant technical software.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with strong copy accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong project management, organization, prioritization, and deadline management skills.
- Ability to work independently, exercise discretion with sensitive information, and operate with minimal supervision.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- Ability to travel to various locations as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Marketing experience in banking, financial services, consumer lending, or another regulated industry.
- Experience incorporating community involvement, CRA initiatives, or local market engagement into marketing strategy.
- Familiarity with compliance-sensitive marketing workflows, approval processes, and vendor coordination.
