Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for a direct hire opportunity in Mentor, OH. This role is ideal for a hands-on industrial maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting complex equipment, supporting production reliability, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The Maintenance Technician will help keep operations running safely and efficiently by diagnosing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, performing preventative maintenance, and partnering with production and engineering teams to reduce downtime. Key Responsibilities

- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Perform routine inspections to identify wear, leaks, and potential equipment failures before they affect production.
- Support equipment changeovers, adjustments, calibrations, installations, and commissioning of new systems.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and documentation using the CMMS system.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment performance, reliability, and efficiency.
- Follow all safety standards, LOTO procedures, company maintenance policies, and continuous improvement practices.

Compensation and Benefits

- Direct hire opportunity.
- Pay rate: $27 to $36 per hour.
- Shift 1: Monday through Friday, 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM.
- Shift 2: Tuesday through Friday, 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM and Saturday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- Shift 3: Sunday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Monday through Thursday, 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM.
- Location: Mentor, OH 44060.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Troubleshoot and repair industrial manufacturing equipment across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and equipment reliability work to support production uptime.
- Support equipment changeovers, calibrations, installations, and commissioning activities.
- Document maintenance activity, work orders, and equipment history in a CMMS system.

- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 3 or more years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food, beverage, or chemical manufacturing.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to read schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and equipment documentation.
- Experience working with VFDs, PLCs, sensors, pumps, conveyors, and robotic systems.
- Working knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and CMMS software.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and respond effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safe work practices, including LOTO procedures and maintenance safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications

- Technical school, trade school, or related maintenance certification preferred.
- Experience in regulated manufacturing environments such as food, beverage, chemical, or similar process-driven operations.
- Experience participating in root cause analysis, continuous improvement initiatives, and downtime reduction projects.
