Job Summary
We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Media, PA. This role is ideal for a hands-on facilities maintenance professional who can lead technicians, coordinate preventative maintenance, oversee repairs, and serve as a technical resource for building systems and facility operations.
The Maintenance Supervisor will play a key role in keeping facilities safe, functional, compliant, and well maintained. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily maintenance department operations, including scheduling, assigning, and reviewing work performed by maintenance technicians.
- Develop, implement, and manage preventative maintenance schedules, procedures, inspections, and work order processes.
- Coordinate the installation, repair, and maintenance of facilities, equipment, machinery, and major building systems.
- Serve as an in-house technical resource by assessing building systems, identifying repair needs, and recommending appropriate action.
- Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, design firms, and internal purchasing teams for maintenance, repair, renovation, and improvement projects.
- Prepare reports, provide maintenance activity updates, and respond to emergency or after-hours repair needs as required.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Supervise maintenance technicians and coordinate daily facilities maintenance activities.
- Manage preventative maintenance programs, work orders, inspections, and repair schedules.
- Coordinate building system repairs, vendor work, contractor activity, and facility improvement projects.
- Support renovation and construction-related maintenance planning, design review, and project updates.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 5 years of relevant maintenance experience required.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, preferably including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades.
- Understanding of building codes, safety standards, and facility compliance requirements.
- Ability to schedule, prioritize, and assign maintenance work efficiently.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify issues and determine required corrective action.
- Ability to supervise teams, communicate with vendors, and provide clear updates to leadership.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage supplies, equipment inventory, and work order documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Some college, trade school, or technical training in facilities maintenance, construction, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or a related field.
- Experience supervising maintenance technicians in a facilities management environment.
- Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, design professionals, or renovation-related projects.
- Familiarity with preventative maintenance software, work order systems, public bidding timelines, or project documentation review.
