Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Mailroom Clerk for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Mountain View, CA. This role is ideal for a logistics, mailroom, shipping, or receiving professional who enjoys hands-on work, staying organized, and providing excellent service in a fast-paced operational environment.
The Mailroom Clerk will support daily parcel, freight, and mailroom operations by receiving, tracking, sorting, and distributing items accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Load, unload, sort, and distribute mail, parcels, and freight while following safety and efficiency procedures.
- Support dock, shipping, and receiving operations by keeping work areas organized and assisting with daily workflow.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, time stamps, tracking records, and chain of custody documentation.
- Provide professional customer service to employees, clients, and internal teams during pickups, deliveries, and service requests.
- Use delivery tracking tools and related technology to update records and confirm item movement.
- Assist with additional operational tasks during downtime and provide support across mailroom and logistics functions as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $21.00 to $23.00 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Handle mail, parcel, freight, shipping, and receiving support in a professional operational environment.
- Track deliveries, maintain accurate logs, and support chain of custody requirements.
- Assist with dock operations, freight movement, and mailroom organization.
- Provide responsive customer service while supporting employees, clients, and internal teams.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 to 2 years of related experience required, with 2 or more years of shipping and receiving experience preferred.
- Current state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
- Ability to lift, move, and maneuver freight up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and sit for extended periods.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities.
- Comfortable using technology to track deliveries, update records, and maintain documentation.
- Must be able to work assigned hours as determined by the manager.
- Professional, reliable, safety-conscious, and customer-service focused.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in mailroom operations, logistics, dock operations, warehouse support, or corporate shipping and receiving.
- Experience maintaining delivery records, time stamps, or chain of custody documentation.
- Familiarity with parcel tracking systems, handheld scanners, or delivery management tools.
- Demonstrated ability to stay organized and productive in a fast-paced service environment.
