We are seeking a dependable and organized Mail Clerk for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Santa Clara, CA. This hands-on, on-site role supports warehouse, shipping, receiving, mailroom, and freight operations in a fast-paced manufacturing-related environment.

The Mail Clerk will play an important role in keeping daily operations moving by handling mail, packages, freight, documentation, and internal customer service with accuracy and professionalism. Key Responsibilities

- Load, unload, sort, and distribute mail, packages, parcels, and freight safely and efficiently.
- Support daily shipping and receiving activities, including dock organization and movement of materials.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, time stamps, chain of custody records, and related documentation.
- Use tracking systems and technology to monitor deliveries, update records, and confirm item status.
- Provide professional customer service to employees, clients, vendors, and internal operations teams.
- Assist with warehouse support tasks while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $23 per hour.
- Location: Santa Clara, CA.
- Work arrangement: On-site.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Handle daily mail, parcel, freight, shipping, and receiving activities.
- Maintain accurate tracking records, delivery logs, and chain of custody documentation.
- Support dock operations, warehouse organization, and safe material movement.
- Provide responsive service to employees, clients, vendors, and internal teams.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in mailroom, warehouse, shipping, receiving, freight, or related logistics work.
- Current state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift, move, and maneuver freight up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, sit, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable using technology, delivery tracking systems, and recordkeeping tools.
- Strong organizational skills, time-management ability, and attention to detail.
- Professional, customer-focused approach with the ability to manage changing priorities.


Preferred Qualifications

- 2 or more years of prior shipping and receiving experience preferred.
- Experience supporting dock operations, warehouse workflows, or high-volume parcel distribution preferred.
- Prior experience maintaining delivery logs, time stamps, or chain of custody documentation preferred.
