Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Account Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Greer, SC. This role is an excellent fit for a customs brokerage or import operations professional who enjoys client communication, shipment coordination, documentation accuracy, and solving time-sensitive logistics challenges.
As a Logistics Account Manager, you will serve as a key point of contact for assigned clients while managing the importation process, customs clearance coordination, and billing activities. You will work closely with clients, customs authorities, carriers, vendors, and internal team members to help ensure imported goods move through the process efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for assigned clients, providing shipment updates, answering questions, and supporting tailored import solutions.
- Review import documentation, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, packing lists, and certificates of origin for accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate customs clearance activities to help ensure imported goods are processed efficiently and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Manage billing responsibilities, including client billing, agent billing, vendor payment review, and adherence to company policy.
- Identify and resolve import-related issues such as customs delays, documentation discrepancies, compliance questions, and transportation challenges.
- Collaborate with customs brokers, import support specialists, and internal team members while contributing to SOP development, training, and process improvement.

- Salary range: $40,000 to $50,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Manage client import accounts and provide ongoing communication throughout the shipment lifecycle.
- Review import documentation and support compliant customs clearance.
- Coordinate billing, vendor payment review, and shipment note documentation.
- Resolve import operations issues involving documentation, customs clearance, transportation providers, and compliance concerns.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 to 3 years of import operations experience preferred, ideally within customs brokerage, freight forwarding, logistics, or a related industry.
- General understanding of customs compliance, import classifications, valuation, tariffs, trade agreements, and import documentation requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for working with clients, government agencies, carriers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to respond professionally to client needs and resolve issues efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing documentation, shipment notes, and billing information.
- Ability to manage multiple import shipments, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing regulations or shipment requirements.
- Commitment to ethical conduct, compliance, and professional standards in international trade and customs brokerage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, international business, business administration, or a related field.
- Experience working in customs brokerage or import operations.
- CargoWise experience.
- Experience developing, maintaining, or improving Standard Operating Procedures.
- Fluency in multiple languages.
