Job Summary
We are seeking a Loan Ops Specialist I (Customer Service) for a direct hire opportunity in Santa Rosa, CA. This full-time, in-office role supports the Lending Department within the banking and consumer lending industry by providing customer service, administrative support, loan transaction processing, and day-to-day operational assistance.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional assistance to visitors, customers, vendors, and internal team members.
- Answer incoming calls, route calls to the appropriate personnel or department, and provide helpful introductions during transfers.
- Monitor and respond to designated group email inboxes in a timely and professional manner.
- Process routine loan payments, paydowns, ACH transactions, and cashier’s checks accurately.
- Enter, update, and maintain accurate loan data while protecting confidential customer and loan information.
- Perform administrative and clerical duties including filing, scanning, photocopying, supply maintenance, report formatting, and issue escalation as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Full-time schedule.
- Compensation: $22.00 to $30.00 per hour.
- Location: Santa Rosa, CA.
- Work arrangement: In-office position.
- Minimum of 10 CRA volunteer hours per year, typically scheduled during business hours.
- CRA volunteer time is compensable, and mileage is reimbursed.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Support daily loan operations, customer service requests, and administrative workflows for the Lending Department.
- Process loan payments, paydowns, ACH entries, cashier’s checks, and routine loan transactions.
- Maintain accurate loan records, customer information, and department documentation.
- Assist with reporting, email inbox management, phone coverage, and clerical support.
- Minimum 2 years of administrative support and/or receptionist experience.
- Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF tools.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage competing deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial, customer, and loan information.
- Professional communication skills with the ability to support customers, vendors, and internal departments.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow established policies, procedures, and banking regulations.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, in-office environment with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.
- Willingness to escalate complex or non-routine issues to higher-level team members when appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience or knowledge in lending, real estate, banking, or consumer lending.
- Familiarity with loan documentation, loan servicing, or financial transaction processing.
- Experience supporting a regulated financial services environment.
- Strong organizational skills and comfort working with reports, data entry, and department records.
