A well-established legal services firm in San Rafael, CA is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to support a busy litigation team in a 100% onsite direct hire role. The Litigation Legal Assistant will work closely with attorneys, partners, clients, and internal team members in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Key Responsibilities

- Provide litigation support to attorneys and partners, including case management, document preparation, and administrative coordination.
- Manage litigation calendaring and docketing, including deadlines, hearings, filings, and court dates with a high level of accuracy.
- Prepare, format, proofread, and finalize legal documents, including pleadings, motions, tables of contents, and tables of authorities.
- Handle state and federal court filings, including e-filing through applicable court systems.
- Maintain organized case files, document management systems, and litigation records.
- Coordinate client communications, scheduling, team support, and backup administrative assistance as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary: $80,000 to $100,000+ per year, flexible based on experience.
- Job Type: Direct Hire.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Provide direct litigation support to attorneys and partners on active litigation matters.
- Manage litigation calendaring, docketing, court deadlines, hearings, and filings.
- Prepare and format litigation documents for state and federal court matters.
- Support case file organization, document management, scheduling, and client communications.

- 2+ years of litigation legal assistant or litigation secretary experience required.
- Strong litigation calendaring and docketing experience required.
- Knowledge of state and federal court procedures, filing rules, and litigation deadlines.
- Experience with e-filing systems such as PACER, CM/ECF, and File & Serve.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including advanced Microsoft Word formatting.
- Familiarity with document management systems, with NetDocuments or similar platforms preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and maintain excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work professionally with attorneys, clients, and internal teams.
- Must be comfortable working fully onsite in San Rafael.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting partners and senior attorneys in a busy litigation practice.
- Familiarity with NetDocuments or a similar legal document management system.
- Strong proofreading, legal formatting, and litigation workflow management skills.
