A busy and growing legal office in Shreveport, LA is seeking a dependable Legal Administrative Assistant for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for an organized administrative professional with legal office experience or a paralegal certificate who enjoys supporting attorneys, managing case information, tracking deadlines, and keeping documentation accurate and current.
The Legal Administrative Assistant will work in a fast-paced, professional office environment where reliability, confidentiality, accuracy, and teamwork are highly valued. Key Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic client files, case documents, records, and supporting materials.
- Request, track, and follow up on medical records, documentation, and missing case information.
- Schedule and calendar court dates, appointments, deadlines, and other time-sensitive items.
- Prepare correspondence and legal-related documents using Microsoft Word.
- Enter, update, and manage case information in databases, spreadsheets, and office systems.
- Provide administrative support to attorneys and office staff while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
Compensation and Benefits
- $15.00 to $18.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- Temp-to-hire opportunity.
- Monday-Friday schedule.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Maintain legal files, case documents, records, and supporting materials.
- Track case deadlines, court dates, appointments, and time-sensitive follow-up items.
- Prepare legal correspondence and administrative documents.
- Support attorneys and legal staff with accurate case information and office coordination.
- 2 or more years of legal office experience or a paralegal certificate required.
- Experience in a legal administrative assistant, legal secretary, legal support clerk, or paralegal support role preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and general office systems.
- Ability to manage calendars, deadlines, documents, and confidential information with accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and communication skills.
- Professional, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced legal office environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience requesting and tracking medical records or case-related documentation.
- Familiarity with legal terminology, court deadlines, and client file management.
- Experience using spreadsheets, databases, or legal case management systems.
