A full-time Kitchen Hood Technician/Fire Tech opportunity is available in the Shreveport-Bossier City, LA area with an established fire protection service provider supporting commercial customers. This direct hire role is ideal for a dependable field technician with hands-on experience inspecting, servicing, and maintaining commercial kitchen hood suppression systems and related fire protection equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect, service, test, and maintain commercial kitchen hood suppression systems.
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on fire protection equipment.
- Identify system deficiencies, safety concerns, and code-related issues, then recommend corrective action.
- Complete accurate inspection reports, service records, and customer documentation.
- Communicate professionally with commercial customers at various job sites.
- Follow NFPA standards, manufacturer specifications, and applicable fire safety codes.

Compensation and Benefits

- $18 to $25 per hour, depending on experience and certifications.
- Full-time direct hire position.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Inspect and service commercial kitchen hood suppression systems.
- Perform fire protection equipment maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Complete inspection documentation and communicate findings to customers.
- Support code-compliant fire safety service work in commercial environments.

- 1 to 2 years of related field service, fire protection, kitchen hood, or skilled trades experience preferred.
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools, equipment, and service procedures.
- Ability to identify deficiencies, safety hazards, and repair needs during inspections.
- Strong attention to detail when completing reports and service records.
- Professional communication skills when working with commercial customers.
- Dependable, safety-focused, and able to work independently at customer job sites.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with commercial kitchen hood suppression systems.
- Familiarity with NFPA standards and fire safety codes.
- Fire protection industry certifications or manufacturer training.
- Prior experience working with restaurants, commercial kitchens, or facilities maintenance teams.
