Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Technician for a contract opportunity in Van Nuys, CA within the aerospace and defense industry. The IT Technician will play a key role in keeping hardware, software, operating systems, networks, and peripheral devices running efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair computer hardware, software, operating systems, and peripheral equipment.
- Provide responsive technical support to end users, including guidance, training, issue resolution, and technology assistance.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and user-related technical problems through root-cause analysis and effective corrective action.
- Deploy new hardware, software, and technology solutions in alignment with organizational standards and established IT procedures.
- Perform preventive maintenance, routine servicing, system updates, and equipment checks to reduce downtime and extend asset life.
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT personnel while maintaining communication, tracking, and follow-through through resolution.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Provide day-to-day technical support for end users, hardware, software, operating systems, and peripheral devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues involving computers, applications, networks, and user access.
- Deploy, configure, maintain, and update IT equipment and technology solutions.
- Support issue tracking, escalation, documentation, and follow-through to ensure timely resolution.
- 3 to 5 years of IT technician, desktop support, help desk, or related technical support experience.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems, and peripheral troubleshooting.
- Ability to install, configure, maintain, and repair IT equipment in a professional business environment.
- Experience diagnosing technical issues, researching solutions, and applying corrective actions.
- Familiarity with network troubleshooting concepts and general IT support procedures.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to end users.
- Ability to prioritize requests, manage multiple issues, and escalate appropriately when needed.
- Detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving, communication, and follow-through skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting IT systems in an aerospace, defense, manufacturing, engineering, or regulated business environment.
- Familiarity with IT asset management, ticketing systems, and standard desktop support documentation practices.
- Experience creating or delivering user training resources for hardware, software, or business applications.
- Ability to recommend technology improvements, upgrades, repairs, and process enhancements that improve operational efficiency.
