Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist for a contract/temporary opportunity in Mountain View, CA. This role is ideal for a customer-focused technology professional who enjoys resolving technical issues, supporting end users, and working across desktop, network, telecommunications, and systems environments.
The IT Support Specialist will play an important role in keeping technology running smoothly and helping users stay productive. Key Responsibilities
- Provide desktop, network, telecommunications, and systems support for end users across the organization.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, printers, telephone systems, and related equipment.
- Set up and manage user accounts, email, voicemail, user profiles, mailboxes, and system access.
- Resolve hardware, software, email, printer, and network connectivity issues in a timely and customer-focused manner.
- Monitor and support servers, backups, antivirus tools, security systems, websites, work orders, and technology assets.
- Train users on software and technology tools while participating in technology projects and system implementations.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $35.00 to $50.00 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Provide hands-on desktop, network, telecommunications, and user support.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, email, printer, and network connectivity issues.
- Manage user accounts, system access, email accounts, voicemail, and technology assets.
- Support servers, backups, antivirus solutions, websites, and technology implementation projects.
- Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 3 or more years of progressively responsible IT support experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, and Microsoft Windows/NT environments.
- Knowledge of network administration, network troubleshooting, email systems, printer support, backup solutions, and antivirus tools.
- Experience supporting telecommunications systems, database software, application software, and website administration.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, work collaboratively, and support occasional extended or irregular hours as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Nortel PBX systems.
- Server administration experience.
- Web content management experience.
- Municipal or public sector IT support experience.
