Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Installation Tech for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity in the Shreveport/Bossier City, LA area. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on inspection, automotive, manufacturing, or vehicle upfitting experience who takes pride in making sure every job is completed accurately and to high standards.

In this Installation Tech role, you will perform final inspections on completed work trucks and cargo vans before delivery to customers. You will be part of a fast-paced, quality-focused shop environment where teamwork, accountability, and attention to detail are valued. This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys practical problem-solving, working around vehicles, and contributing to a team that supports dependable workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform final quality inspections on completed work trucks and cargo vans to ensure work meets company standards.
- Verify completed work against work orders, schematics, blueprints, and required specifications.
- Inspect installed equipment for proper fit, function, safety, and overall quality.
- Test equipment operation and identify any defects, rework needs, or quality concerns.
- Complete inspection reports, certification labels, and related documentation accurately.
- Assist with vehicle cleaning, incoming vehicle check-in, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $18.00 to $21.00 per hour.
- Job Type: Temp-to-Hire.
- Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday.
- Location: Shreveport/Bossier City, LA.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Perform detailed final inspections on work trucks, cargo vans, and installed vehicle equipment.
- Review work orders, schematics, blueprints, and documentation to confirm completion and quality.
- Test equipment functionality and document inspection results accurately.
- Identify quality issues and communicate rework or repair needs to the appropriate team members.

- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience preferred in quality control, manufacturing, automotive, vehicle upfitting, installation, maintenance, or repair.
- Experience using hand tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and work orders.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to complete required documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize work, solve problems, and work independently.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently bend, kneel, stoop, and lift as needed.
- Ability to climb into pickup truck beds and cargo vans and use a creeper to inspect underneath vehicles.
- Comfortable working in varying seasonal temperatures and shop conditions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous quality control inspection experience in a production, automotive, manufacturing, or vehicle upfitting environment.
- Prior experience inspecting completed installations, vehicle accessories, equipment, or work truck modifications.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with shop safety practices.
