Job Summary

We are seeking a Human Resources Administrator for a contract/temporary opportunity in Newark, CA, supporting a manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who enjoys variety, employee interaction, compliance-focused work, and partnering with leaders to support a positive workplace culture.

The Human Resources Administrator will play a key role in recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, HR compliance, and day-to-day HR operations. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative team environment, support employees across the organization, and help strengthen HR processes that promote consistency, accountability, and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage employee lifecycle activities, including recruiting coordination, onboarding, retention support, offboarding, and exit interviews.
- Partner with hiring managers to support recruiting efforts, prepare offer letters, conduct orientations, and ensure onboarding documentation is complete.
- Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, COBRA coordination, and employee benefits communication.
- Maintain HR records, employee files, job descriptions, salary structures, and other confidential HR documentation.
- Track leaves of absence, workers' compensation claims, safety programs, ergonomic processes, and injury reporting.
- Advise managers and employees on HR policies, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and workplace issue resolution.

Compensation and Benefits

- Compensation: $30.00 to $35.00 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support full-cycle HR administration, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, and offboarding.
- Maintain accurate HR records, employee files, compliance documentation, and HR process tracking.
- Administer employee benefits, leaves of absence, workers' compensation, and related HR programs.
- Partner with managers on workplace policies, performance management, employee communication, and conflict resolution.

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources experience.
- Strong knowledge of California employment laws, federal employment regulations, wage and hour requirements, and HR best practices.
- Experience with recruiting, employee relations, benefits administration, HR documentation, and employee lifecycle support.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with professionalism.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, and a collaborative work style.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with ADP Workforce Now.
- Bilingual skills.
- Experience supporting performance management programs.
- Experience coordinating employee development or training initiatives.
