Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Human Resource Manager for a direct hire opportunity near  Mc Farland, CA area within a manufacturing and production environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on HR leader with strong union collective bargaining experience, solid employee relations skills, and a stable work history.

The Human Resource Manager will support a multi-disciplined HR function, including payroll administration, benefits, recruiting, onboarding, compliance, employee relations, and labor relations. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with leadership, support a production workforce, and help maintain a positive, compliant, and well-organized workplace.

Key Responsibilities

- Support management and employees in accordance with company policies, HR procedures, and collective bargaining agreements.
- Administer bi-weekly payroll, including employee updates, deductions, off-cycle pay calculations, and related payroll documentation.
- Manage full life cycle recruiting, onboarding, and employee documentation using applicant tracking systems, recruiting tools, and third-party recruiting partners as needed.
- Maintain compliance documentation and programs related to OSHA, EEOC, DOL, FLSA, and other applicable employment regulations.
- Prepare HR reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data for management review and decision-making.
- Administer and maintain employee benefits files, invoice payments, health care plans, retirement plans, and union-related benefit programs.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary Range: $80,000 to $110,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support labor relations, employee relations, payroll, benefits, recruiting, onboarding, and HR compliance in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Interpret and apply collective bargaining agreements while partnering with leadership on workforce matters.
- Administer full life cycle payroll and maintain accurate HR, benefits, and compliance records.
- Prepare management reports, support regulatory documentation, and respond to employee policy and procedure questions.

- Must have union collective bargaining experience.
- Must have experience working in a manufacturing, production, or similar industrial environment.
- Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of full life cycle Human Resources Generalist or HR management experience.
- 3 to 5 years of experience supporting a multi-disciplined HR department.
- 2 to 4 years of experience with hiring, onboarding, and recruitment processes.
- Experience administering full life cycle payroll, preferably using ADP.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, employee relations practices, and employment compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with HRMS systems, preferably ADP, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, manage competing deadlines, and respond effectively to employees and leadership.
- Stable work history required.

Preferred Qualifications

- ADP payroll and HRMS experience.
- Experience supporting union benefit plans or collective bargaining-related benefits administration.
- Knowledge of OSHA, EEOC, DOL, and FLSA compliance in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior HR leadership experience supporting hourly production employees.
