We are seeking a hands-on HR Generalist for a full-time, direct hire opportunity in Alsip, IL. This role is ideal for a well-rounded Human Resources professional who enjoys supporting employees, partnering with managers, and staying involved across the full employee lifecycle.
The HR Generalist will play an important role in recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, HR compliance, employee relations, payroll support, HRIS maintenance, and general HR administration. Key Responsibilities
- Support employees and managers with day-to-day HR questions, policy guidance, and general workplace needs.
- Coordinate recruiting activities, interviews, offers, onboarding, new-hire orientation, and employee documentation.
- Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS information, HR reports, and required HR documentation.
- Assist with benefits administration, employee changes, payroll-related processes, and timekeeping support.
- Support employee relations matters, performance documentation, workplace concerns, and consistent application of HR policies.
- Assist with compliance requirements, required reporting, training coordination, employee development activities, and HR projects.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $60,000 to $80,000 per year.

- 2+ years of experience in a Human Resources role.
- General knowledge of HR practices, employment regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting recruiting and onboarding processes.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and employee support skills.
- Excellent organization, follow-through, and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Comfortable working independently while partnering effectively with employees, managers, and leadership.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- HRIS experience preferred.
- Experience working in a hands-on HR Generalist role supporting multiple areas of the employee lifecycle.
- Ability to balance administrative HR responsibilities with employee-facing support and problem-solving.
