Job Summary
We are seeking an HR Generalist for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Seattle, WA. This fully in-office role is ideal for an early-career Human Resources professional who enjoys creating a welcoming employee experience, supporting recruiting and onboarding, and keeping HR operations organized and compliant.
The HR Generalist will serve as the first point of contact for new hires, applicants, employees, and hiring managers. The role offers hands-on exposure to recruitment coordination, onboarding, HRIS data maintenance, employee records, compliance follow-up, and day-to-day HR support.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary HR front desk point of contact for employees, applicants, new hires, and hiring managers.
- Coordinate onboarding activities, including scheduling, new hire packets, tours, I-9, E-Verify, W-4 forms, and related documentation.
- Support recruitment operations, including job postings, applicant assistance, requisition tracking, and interview coordination as needed.
- Maintain accurate employee records, HR files, HRIS data, compliance documentation, and follow-up tracking.
- Assist with HR office operations, including mail distribution, room scheduling, inventory tracking, badges, ORCA cards, surveys, and general administrative support.
- Help provide a smooth, professional, and welcoming HR experience while supporting compliance and data integrity.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $28.00 to $30.00 per hour.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Work arrangement: Fully in-office.
- Location: Seattle, WA
- Parking: Candidates are responsible for their own parking fees. Parking costs $10 per day before 9:00 AM.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Coordinate recruiting and onboarding processes for new hires, applicants, employees, and hiring managers.
- Maintain HR records, employee files, HRIS data, and compliance-related documentation.
- Serve as a professional HR front desk contact while supporting day-to-day HR operations.
- Assist with job postings, applicant support, survey tracking, office coordination, and HR administrative tasks.
- 1 to 2 years of Human Resources experience, ideally with recruiting coordination and onboarding support.
- Experience with front desk customer service or employee-facing administrative support.
- Familiarity with HRIS and ATS systems, including data entry, updates, audits, and compliance follow-up.
- Experience or working knowledge of I-9, E-Verify, W-4 forms, onboarding packets, and employee records management.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate, confidential HR information.
- Comfortable learning new tools, systems, requisition tracking platforms, and HR processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional email communication.
- Service-focused, welcoming, organized, proactive, punctual, and reliable.
- Ability to manage interruptions, shifting priorities, and a fast-paced HR office environment.
- Collaborative team player who can also work independently with professionalism and good judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as an HR Coordinator, Recruiting Coordinator, Onboarding Coordinator, HR Assistant, or early-career HR Generalist.
- Experience supporting ADA accommodation requests or applicant assistance processes.
- Experience with survey administration, tracking, and reporting.
- Experience managing badges, transit cards, office inventory, room scheduling, or similar HR office operations.
