Job Summary

A manufacturing organization in Fremont, CA is seeking a Health and Safety Administrator to support Health, Safety and Environmental programs in a hands-on industrial environment. This temp-to-hire opportunity is ideal for an organized HSE professional who enjoys improving workplace safety, supporting compliance, coordinating training, and building strong relationships with employees and department leaders.

The Health and Safety Administrator will work closely with the HSE Manager and cross-functional teams to help maintain a safe, compliant, and well-documented work environment. This role offers variety, visibility, and the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement in a company setting that values teamwork, accountability, and proactive safety leadership.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and administer Health, Safety and Environmental programs, including documentation, audits, inspections, training records, and compliance tracking.
- Assist with safety policy development, safety meeting topics, safety drills, training programs, and employee awareness materials.
- Inspect facilities, equipment, and work practices to identify hazards, regulatory concerns, and corrective action needs.
- Support accident, incident, near-miss, hazard complaint, and injury investigations in coordination with the HSE Manager.
- Maintain HSE records, OSHA 300 logs, SDS databases, workers compensation documentation, and third-party administrator accounts.
- Support hazardous materials and hazardous waste programs, including waste reporting, spill response coordination, and regulatory compliance.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $30 to $32.50 per hour.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
- Location: Fremont, CA.



Required Qualifications and Skills

- Coordinate day-to-day Health, Safety and Environmental administrative activities in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Support safety inspections, audits, corrective action tracking, and regulatory compliance documentation.
- Assist with safety training, safety meetings, incident investigations, and hazard reporting.
- Maintain HSE records, SDS databases, OSHA logs, workers compensation files, and third-party compliance accounts.

- Associate degree or two years of college required.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in a construction or manufacturing environment required.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, Cal/OSHA, environmental health and safety regulations, and loss control practices.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to maintain electronic and hard copy safety records accurately.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply written, oral, and schedule-based instructions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with employees, managers, and external agencies.
- Detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities in a compliance-driven environment.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and dependable transportation to work required.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with third-party administrator platforms such as ISNetworld, Avetta, OSCA, DISA, Browz, or Appruv.
- Experience supporting hazardous materials, hazardous waste programs, SDS management, emergency response teams, or safety committees.
- Experience assisting with workers compensation claims, OSHA 300 logs, and safety audits in a manufacturing environment.
