We are seeking a detail-oriented Harvest Scale Clerk for a 90-day contract opportunity in Grand Ledge, MI. This administrative and clerical role supports daily harvest operations in an agriculture environment by weighing trucks, entering data, assisting customers, and maintaining accurate office records.

Key Responsibilities

- Weigh trucks accurately and record scale information in the appropriate systems.
- Perform data entry, document filing, and record retention with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Answer phones and provide professional, courteous customer service to drivers, growers, vendors, and internal team members.
- Assist with grain grading tasks and operate basic PLC or scale-related programs as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace.
- Follow all company safety procedures and contribute to a zero-injury work culture.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $20.00 per hour.
- Job type: Contract/temporary.
- Assignment length: 90 days.
- Location: Grand Ledge, MI.



Required Qualifications and Skills

- Weigh trucks and maintain accurate scale records.
- Complete data entry, filing, phone support, and document retention.
- Support grain grading and basic system or PLC program operation.
- Provide professional customer service in a busy harvest office environment.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3-5 years of relevant administrative, clerical, data entry, office support, or customer service experience.
- Strong computer skills required.
- Ability to enter data accurately and use basic office technology.
- Commitment to following safety procedures and supporting a zero-injury culture.
- Regular and prompt attendance required.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing in a team setting.
- Professional, positive, and respectful communication style.
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the position, including prolonged sitting, standing, phone use, bending, kneeling, and lifting storage boxes.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel for data entry or office tasks.
- Previous experience with office equipment such as copiers, fax machines, scanners, or similar equipment.
- Previous experience in agriculture, harvest operations, grain handling, scale operations, or a similar seasonal production environment.
