Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper for a direct hire, full-time opportunity in Santa Barbara, CA. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will handle a broad range of bookkeeping and accounting functions, including reconciliations, journal entries, payroll support, financial reporting, and routine filings. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, accounting transactions, and supporting documentation.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Process payroll and assist with payroll-related filings as needed.
- Prepare sales tax and other routine regulatory filings.
- Record journal entries, support month-end and year-end close activities, and resolve accounting discrepancies.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $28 to $70 per hour, depending on experience.
- Annual salary range: $58,240 to $145,600 per year.
- Schedule: Full-time.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting transactions for multiple clients or business operations.
- Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting support.
- Support payroll processing, routine tax filings, and month-end and year-end close activities.
- Research accounting discrepancies and communicate clearly with clients and internal teams.
- Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and financial reporting.
- Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger activity.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with payroll processing and tax filings.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- High level of professionalism, accuracy, discretion, and confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with multiple clients, entities, departments, or business units.
- Prior full charge bookkeeping experience in a professional services, small business, or outsourced accounting environment.
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to build positive working relationships.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new accounting systems, tools, and processes.
