Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Forklift Driver/Warehouse Associate for a temp-to-hire opportunity supporting warehouse, inventory, shipping, receiving, and material handling operations in a logistics-focused engineering services environment.

This role is ideal for a certified forklift operator with strong inventory control experience who enjoys staying organized, working independently, and keeping warehouse operations moving efficiently. The position offers competitive hourly pay, long-term potential, and the chance to contribute to a team that values safety, accuracy, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Candidates should be comfortable commuting to Kent initially, with the role expected to transition to Tacoma in the future.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate daily warehouse operations, including inventory control, shipping, receiving, material handling, and warehouse organization.
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, receive, store, and prepare materials and orders.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, documentation, cycle counts, and tracking within inventory systems or related software.
- Prioritize daily logistics tasks independently while maintaining productivity, accuracy, and safety standards.
- Support efficient warehouse workflow by identifying organization, storage, and process improvement opportunities.
- Follow established warehouse procedures, safety policies, and company guidelines at all times.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay range: $27.00 to $30.00 per hour.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Coordinate warehouse, inventory, shipping, receiving, and material handling operations.
- Operate forklifts for receiving, storage, order preparation, and material movement.
- Must have Forklift Certification
- Maintain inventory accuracy through tracking, documentation, counts, and organized warehouse practices.
- Manage daily logistics priorities independently with minimal supervision.

- Minimum of 3 years of logistics, warehouse coordination, inventory control, supply chain, or related experience.
- Current and valid forklift certification is required.
- Hands-on forklift operating experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment.
- Strong inventory management, inventory tracking, and warehouse organization skills.
- Basic computer proficiency with experience using inventory systems or related software.
- Ability to work independently, stay focused, and manage workload without direct supervision.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and organizational ability.
- Reliable attendance, dependable transportation, and ability to commute to Kent now and Tacoma in the future.
- Safety-focused mindset with the ability to follow warehouse procedures and company policies.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with shipping and receiving operations.
- Experience using warehouse management systems or inventory management software.
- Background in supply chain, distribution, manufacturing, or similar warehouse-based operations.
- Experience identifying process improvements related to warehouse organization, inventory accuracy, and workflow efficiency.
